A Smoker No Moore

A Smoker No Moore

For the Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore, quitting smoking provided more than the usual physical health benefits. It also gave her mental health benefits and improved her clarity about life, she says.

It forced her to examine herself and why she started such a horrible habit in the first place. During her self-inquisition, Moore says unhappiness was the root of the problem and that she used cigarettes as a way to stuff the gloom away. In other words, cigarettes were a form of self-medication for Moore.
