Spilling and Losing the Beans

You are trying to find a diet that works for you—whether it’s food service delivery, eating a whole bunch of nuts or dropping meat and potatoes—to successfully shed the pounds. But a diet solely consisting of beans?

It helped Neil King of England lose 140 pounds in nine months. King used to be a hearty eater, consuming bacon, eggs and sausage each day, along with very generous helping of beer. When he was told he was at risk of getting bowel cancer, he drastically changed his diet. Since June of last year, King has eaten nearly 1,500 cans of baked beans.

Not something you could stomach? While King’s changes were extreme, at least he didn’t resort to only eating beans, but instead combined it with rice and potatoes.

Losing weight requires exercise and a healthy diet, not just some hit-or-miss fad diet. But incorporating foods like baked beans, which are high in fiber and low in fat, can help you make your way to your goal. What’s the craziest diet you’ve ever heard of? [Fox News]
