The actress who demonstrated her acting chops in “Brokeback Mountain” gave her shady businessman boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, the boot after it was reported that his charity foundation was being investigated by the New York Attorney General’s office. She was apparently worried that his potentially scandalous dealings could affect her squeaky-clean image.

Hathaway now appears to be adhering to all of the lessons of Break-up 101. She courageously left a relationship with a man she still cared for, because she put herself first. She’s been spending time away from New York and keeping up with her work schedule in Los Angeles.
