Singing the Breakup Blues
Posted: 05/21/2008 04:50 PM ESTThey say music tames the savage beast. Well, what’s beastlier than an ugly, hairy, foul-smelling breakup?
Everyone has their own style when it comes to breakup songs, but if you’re looking for some inspiration, Askmen.com put together a list of the top ten breakup songs, complete with videos. Their list skews a little to the heavy metal crowd, but it’s a good start.
Some other great songs that will surely have you reaching for your Kleenex box before you’re even finished reading this post are “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” by Michael Bolton “50 Ways to Lose Your Lover,” by Paul Simon and “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins. Also, pretty much anything by a mariachi band or country music singer should help put that beast to bed.
Did your song make the cut? If not, tell us the best background music for a night of crying into your pillow. [Askmen.com]
