Best Cities to Start a Business

The current state of the market may make you yearn to start a new business, but where can you do it where you’ll get the best customers and the most for your investment?

Fortune Small Business has come up with a list of 100 cities around the United States that are ripe for new business owners. Listed #1 is Bellevue, WA, thanks to its growing downtown and wealth of talented people, but they also reportedly have great schools and health care. Also on the list are Buford, GA, for its affordable housing, Sioux Falls, ND, for its business friendly tax structure and Honolulu, HI, for its easy access to Asian markets.

As with every big change or investment, thorough research is in order. If you’re thinking of moving to one of these cities, make sure you look closely at the “con” column of each of these towns. But it sure would be nice to rake in the dough while you hang 10 on a beach in Hawaii. [Fortune Small Business]
