A Bavarian man had neighbors thinking they drank more than their fare share of beer after he proposed to his girlfriend by sending up 50 glowing paper lanterns into the night sky.

Local police responded to concerned onlookers who believed they were witnessing a U.F.O. Police rushed to the scene but instead of finding E.T. all they found was a girl who had just said "ja!"
