Not A Laughing Matter

Love isn’t always funny, and when the laughter ends, many couples choose divorce after all other avenues have failed.

That’s the case for Marsha Garces Williams, who is leaving her husband of 19 years, comedic actor Robin Williams. The Boston Globe reports that she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. They have two teenage children.

The couple was challenged a few years ago when Marcia reportedly threatened to leave the marriage unless Williams got help for his drinking. He has been sober since, but it seems that the wounds ran too deep. Improving a relationship  is never easy, and sometimes too much damage has been done. Do you think these two could have had a happier ending? [Boston Globe]
