Time to Yourself

jeanfroner

The first few weeks after a break up are often the best time to reconnect with the person you often forget to nurture: yourself.  Take some time to evaluate your life, exploring both its positive and negative aspects, and take stock of the things you want for your future.  Pampering yourself is great too!  Remember that time alone can be wonderful: it's the perfect time to be 100% selfish, which can feel really good.

At first the being alone was the hardest thing. Waiting for the phone to ring at the usual time and hearing silence was deafening.
But at midlife now, I realize I need to focus on a new direction, one that will be right for me. I want to get back into my writing and am going to join a book club or mad poets society. I need something better in my life. I need to nurture me and love myself and honor myself. I need God.
