Question:Did anyone see the recent research study, "Baby's Smile Lights Up Mom's Brain" (July 9, 2008)?

It deals with the mother/infant connection, & if you want to check it out, Google " yourhealthinformation" & then the title "Baby's Smile, etc., etc., etc.

Answer:

I just did a quick look up and read that article. I find the whole field of neuro science fascinating. It makes perfect sense that a mother would have a strong feeling seeing her baby smile. Mothers are hard wired to want to produce that result, it must be very gratifying when it happens.

I hope the science can help make it possible for more women to bond with their children in this way. I'm thinking of the children I see sometimes who appear to be neglected -- even abused -- by mothers who don't seem to care for their happiness or well being. Very sad indeed.
