Infant Fashion Frenzy

Infant Fashion Frenzy

You may think it’s adorable: Mom and kid strutting through the mall in their matching outfits. Leggings and a shirt-dress on a little girl? Too cute!

But when do moms take it too far? A good example is purchasing designer clothing that your child will grow out of before you can pronounce the designer’s name. Probably not a good investment. And we’re pretty sure that when Katie Holmes spent $2,500 last year on shoes for Suri, the little cutie couldn’t even tell the difference from discount department shoes. No wait, Suri asked specifically for Louboutins. That’s right.

A controversy sparked on parenting site Babble over the heel situation and language on clothes, such as a onesie that reads, “I’m an accident.” This is obviously the parents’ humor shining through, but is it even funny? Or appropriate?

How much thought do you put into your baby’s clothing? Do you think it positively reflects who you are? [Babble]
