Defining Your Rocks

If you're going through a number of changes at once, whether they are happening to you or you've decided to take them on, you may begin to have a feeling of uneasiness or unsteadiness. With so much changing around you, what is constant anymore?

In an effort to make change easier, it's important to remind yourself of the "rocks" in your life. If your work life is crazy, do you have a pretty stable home life that you can rely on? If you or your family's health is in jeopardy, do you at least have a reliable support system that you can count on? It's important to remember these constants to keep you grounded as you move through the change you’re in, without feeling like the world is crumbling beneath you.

Try jotting down these constants on a sheet of paper and keep it in your wallet. If you are having an uncomfortable moment, refer to it. Sometimes just reminding yourself of how lucky your life is can help you find the strength to continue your change.

This is a good little pick me up. Most times it could probably help me out.
