Liking Yourself

Losing weight can be such a Catch22. It's easier to lose when you are feeling good about yourself and it is hard to feel good about yourself when you need to lose a lot. Work on how you feel and see how it affects how you look!

Gosh. That is exactly how I feel every day. I'm carrying more pounds then I would like, so my clothes don't feel or look right, which makes me sad and then I look even worse because it's obvious on some level that I'm not lovin my look.
But when I come at it from a place of what's inside of me it's easier to feel good about myself.

When I was decades younger and much thinner my self image and feelings about myself caused me so much pain. Now that I'm really at peace with myself I'm still finding it very hard to lose weight because I'm older and have medical issues such as hypothyroidism. I've made small goals, I've been focusing on just doing the best I can every day and exercise, but controlling the eating is so hard for me. Sometimes I feel like I'm afraid to lose weight- that I've been this way for so long I don't know who'd I'd be skinny- although I want to be healthy and energetic and in cute clothes so much! I think you have to feel motivated for your own health and even your own vanity AND feel you deserve it, to be successful losing weight.
