The Lazy Person's Path to Weight Loss

If losing weight was as easy as ordering pizza, then perhaps more people would already be at their ideal weight. But we all know that several other factors go into ensuring weight loss, including maintaining an active lifestyle throughout the day.

But it doesn’t have to be that difficult. Even if you're the laziest of people, little bits of activity into your daily routine that will make a huge difference in your waistline.

* Don't feel like getting out of bed? Do crunches on your mattress. Draw your knees toward your chest 25 to 50 times to increase energy, tighten abs and burn 15 to 20 calories.

* Sure, you're lazy, but you still have to get dressed every day. Why not dance while you dress? Start off your day by getting your groove thang on while you get dressed and you will burn 55 calories in one hour.

* Wearing sweats all day might help you out in getting your butt up to circle the block. Research has shown that if you wear comfy clothes, then you are more likely to squeeze in bits of exercise throughout the day. As you do more exercise and feel less lazy, look for ways to add short strolls throughout the day. These small bursts of exercise can burn up to 375 calories throughout the day.

* Watching a really funny movie? Well, then laugh as hard as you can! Research shows laughing for 10 to 15 minutes can burn about 40 calories. That may seem small, but a daily chuckle can help you lose about 4 pounds in a year.

* This last one might be testing your laziness, but seriously, try standing up more. Rather than sit and watch your kids play at the park, get up and walk around the playground area for 15 minutes. By learning to stand instead of sit you can burn up to 200 calories in an hour.

We want to hear from you: How do you squeeze exercise into your day...even if you're feeling particularly lazy? [MSN]

This is an easy one. Whenever I drive somewhere and have to park my car, I always park at the furthest parking spot. Always! Less dings on my car and more walking for me. Works for me!
