Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)
The movie Fried Green Tomatoes is based in the book Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg and although it doesn’t delve into the all the details in the book, it does follow the development of the friendship between Evelyn Couch (Kathy Bates) and Ninny Threadgoode (Jessica Tandy), an elderly woman in a nursing home.
