Question:How do I forgive my dad, who I always looked up to, and accept that he is going through such a terrible midlife crisis that he actually cheated on my mom?...and he's not aware that I know he cheated.

My dad has always been there for my mother and my sister and I. He's going through a terrible midlife crisis to the extent that he cheated on my mom with a girl from work once. My mom and him are finally working it out, but how do I accept what he has done? He has no idea that my mom told me about the cheating. I would have a much better time with this if it were another guy, but since it's my dad, I'm having a terrible time accepting it.

Answer:

if your mom accepted it and is moving on, then so should you ... your dad is human, just like you and everyone else ... good luck
