A Lesson from Flavor Flav

Who would have thought that today’s lesson in love would come from Flavor Flav, the giant-clock-wearing, Brigitte Nielsen-dating rapper and reality television star? Well, as Flav would say, “yeaaaaaaah boyyee,” it did.

After three seasons spent searching for a soul mate in hot tubs and on various silk-sheeted beds on his reality show “Flavor of Love,” Flav managed to give audiences the biggest shock of all on this week’s reunion show when he proposed not to one of the 65 contestants, but to Liz, the mother of his youngest son.

Like Dorothy returning to Kansas, Flav realized that he had everything he needed at home all along.

In an interview with VH1, Liz said that the whole reality experience had been tough on her. “It’s hard seeing someone you love on TV looking for love," she says, "especially when I knew that he had love. I was the one.”

It took Flav three seasons of reality television to find romance and make sure he knew Liz was “the one,” while she knew from the start. What’s it going to take for you to know about your mate? [Reality TV World]
