Question:When your feeling lonely, what is the best way to not think of things that make you sad?

I agree with Lizzie, my shrink encouraged me to make a list of 20 things to do when I am feeling lonely. Sometimes I can do one of those and sometimes it is so bad that I can only hang in front of the TV and numb myself down by watching Sitcoms. At least they make me smile.
But I know that it will get better. I am not crying since 3 days. That is big improvement, bc I cried 14 days in a row :-)! Just realized how old these posts are, Anyways someone might still read it!

I think it's good to have an arsenal of things to turn to that make you feel happier. You know how kids have their comfort items they need when they travel...well, adults need that too, but in different ways. If you don't know what those things are off the bat, have a list of things ready to turn to when you're feeling down. Is there a funny show you can watch, a book you can read, a friend you can call when you're down? Keep those things at the ready when you're feeling down and it's sure to help at least a little bit.
