Tech Fashion

Tech Fashion

Last week we told you about bulletproof clothing. Well, futuristic fashion does not stop there.

Imagine, a garment that can prevent the common cold, the flu and apparently, doesn’t ever need to be washed. We wish we were kidding, but last year, a design student at Cornell University invented that very garment. With the world we live in today it’s no surprise that fashion and technology are being intertwined. Dr. Adam Best, a research scientist states, "The world is your oyster when it comes to the sorts of things you can do with clothing and technology. You're only limited by your imagination, really." He would know. He created a shirt that can produce electricity with simple movement, such as walking.

However, if you think an electric charged shirt and a sickness-shielding garment is exciting, then you’ll be intrigued by the fact that many researchers are currently working on a breast screening smart bra. The smart bra will be equipped to detect breast cancer at the earliest stage with a microwave antennae system woven into the fabric. Hopefully, the smart bra will be on sale and in stores within a year.

Have you heard of any other technically inclined fashions? Tell us about it.  [CNN]

Whoa! And we thought we were ahead of out time with thermal underwear. I need to get a hold of that sickness-shielding garment.
