"I have so enjoyed your book! It is easy to digest and very down to earth and so relative to us all. And the 30 day change emails are so helpful and upbeat." -Stephanie

Enjoy the present moment

I was just watching the birds outside and thinking how important it is to pay attention to what's happening in the moment. I can spend time regretting the past or worrying about the future, but that won't make me as happy as I could be if I could just learn to live in the now.

I agree, LetItGo....I frequently have to remind myself to "just breathe". I often glance at a postcard quote by Michael Nolan that I have at home and in my cubicle at work:
If you are going to worry, don't do it.
If you do it, don't worry.

Simple words to read but perhaps difficult to live by sometimes, huh?!

Just thought I'd share......

Living in the moment, a person has to let go of everything . . . but that moment. Can't regret what might have been or worry about what might come to be.

Freeing, isn't it?

Today I had a knock on my front door. It was 8:20 a.m. It has been one week since I lost my beloved pet, a golden retriever. His name was Dakota, but I affectionately called him Fuzzy. I climbed down the stairs pulling on my robe to answer the door. It was Rose, the compassionate and professional animal control officer who stopped by my home to bring Fuzzy home. You see she checked on us, Fuzzy and me, before his death and then came by afterwards to see how I was. Compassion is endless. Thank you Rose for going out of your way to help me thru a tough time. Every moment counts, even the last.
