Ask a New Question

Icon_tip_2

When going through a change, we immediately begin asking ourselves disempowering questions. For example, when life throws us a challenge, we wonder: “How could this have happened to me?” or “How will I get through this?” Maybe even: “Will I ever feel good again?”

And if it’s a positive change—like a big promotion or a brand-new baby—the questions include “Can I live up to the challenge?” and “Do I have what it takes to succeed?”

Sure, the negative questions are easy. During this change, boost your confidence with a new line of questioning. At first, your mind might react strongly against the new, empowering questions that you ask, but stay strong! Embracing change is a key step toward making change easier.

Today, ask yourself:

  • What could be great about this change?
  • Who can help me through this change?
  • What opportunity has this change brought to me?
  • What good things in my life haven’t changed?

Keep these questions in your pocket or purse and turn to them whenever you need a reminder that life is on your side.
