I have to say I have worked in companies where people were very friendly and tight knit and it was acceptable to be so chummy. But I've also worked in companies where I probably would have been reported to HR for being so touchy feely.

I work for myself so I have to reserve my hugs for the mailman and the Starbucks guy.
