Are you having a green Christmas?
One of the most sacred aspects of the American Christmas, the decoration of the ole' tannenbaum, is also one of the least green traditions, right? I'm trying to decide what to do about a tree this year. Any suggestions? I was thinking of maybe planting a tree instead of buying one, but then where will I put the presents?
My mom bought a rosemary tree at the supermarket. It's small (tabletop size) but it smells tremendous and then she can actually use the rosemary in her kitchen! She dries and freezes what she can't use while the tree is fresh. You could also plant it in the yard.
It's a great option for those in small spaces and those who are traveling and won't really be home to enjoy a tree.
