Play It Again, Harry

Have you ever been in the middle of a romantic date at a nice restaurant, locked in your lover's gaze only to have it ruined by a roving band of mariachis singing "Cielito Lindo?" or a rogue violinist who can't seem to get the hang of the strings?

Being serenaded should be the ultimate romantic compliment, but when it's bad, it's oh-so-wrong. Fortunately for one Manhattan couple, one of today's famous modern crooners was on hand as they practically got busy at their lunch table.

According to Fox News, Harry Connick Jr. and his wife Jill Goodacre were attending a press conference at the plaza hotel for his new movie "Living Proof," and there just so happened to be a Steinway baby grand piano on the stage.

Goodacre noticed an amorous couple making gaga eyes at each other in the corner and gave her husband a nudge.

"I know what you're thinking—I am not going to play the piano," Connick said with a laugh.

"Harry, you have to," his wife prodded him. "I'll pay you."

After some encouragement from the small group at the press conference Connick took to the stage to play the Lionel Richie-Diana Ross classic, "Endless Love." Everyone had a good laugh and the couple surely went and got a room.
