Question:Has acupuncture helped you?

I'd like to try the alternative therapies before considering surgery and I've heard good things about acupuncture.

Answer:

I don't have personal experience with it, but some of my friends and family members have used it for various ailments (back pain, migraines, etc.) and they all say it has helped them a lot.

Hello Vittoria,

I started going to an acupuncturist about two years ago for migraines, and would recommend it to anyone. I've suffered from various types of headaches for my entire life, and have taken a range of medications and enlisted a number of specialist to help me, with little relief. But within a few days of starting acupuncture treatment, I began feeling exceptionally better. And since beginning this treatment, my health has improved by leaps and bounds, just for the attention paid to my whole being. I highly recommend it.

Hello Vittoria,
Several years ago I was involved in a head on crash that sent me to the hospital and left me with incapacitating pain in the neck and shoulders. I went to Chiropractors who helped somewhat and I was considering visiting an orthopedic surgeon when the pain was reactivated during a move from NJ to TX. The blinds' installer noticed me lying on a couch with a neck brace almost in tears because of the pain and he gave me the name of his Chinese acupuncturist in Hurst, TX, near Dallas. This man treated me for about 10 weeks. I never missed a session. I was ready to try ANYTHING to eliminate that pain.
I can say that after 8 sessions, I was already feeling so much better, I knew surgery was no longer an option.
Today, besides regular massages mostly to relax me, and an occasional rub with Voltaren or Flexall ointment, my neck and shoulder have no need for any type of medical treatment . Even though recent xrays still show 4 pinched nerve, I can say that I've completely healed from the chronic pain I lived with for many years!!!
