Question:How do I cut down on my Facebook time?

Ok, so I think I like Facebook a little too much. I confess that I check it between 5 and ten times a day! I'm worried that could eventually get in the way of my work. Is there anything I can do to keep myself in check?

Answer:

I check it a lot too! It's hard not to, because you don't want to "miss" anything your friends are doing/saying.

Like AnnieChance said, maybe set a time limit for yourself. But I would try to ween yourself off of the 5-10 times a day by saying you'll check it 4 times, then 3, etc. etc. until you feel like you're in a good spot. Good luck!

Answer:

Have you tried turning off the email alerts that you get whenever someone comments on your page? That might help—I know when I get those email alerts I feel compelled to go to sign in just to see what people said! You might want to set a time limit for yourself—maybe stick to just checking it once a day for 15 minutes after work?
