Question:How smooth is the transition from Windows XP to a Mac?

I have been using Windows XP for years. I am considering buying a MAC and have had several people I trust suggest buying a MAC, when I'm ready to buy my next laptop. Is the Change to a MAC fairly user friendly? How smooth is this transition?
Thanks!

I say it's no problemo! I literally just got a Mac, and I am having no problems converting. I did, of course, use them throughout college, but I have always owned a PC -- who knows why! I am in love with my Mac ... ooo, I love it so much. Have fun!

I made the switch about 2 years ago too, from a Dell laptop to a Mac laptop. I found it to be a pretty smooth transition too. There's something about the operating system on Macs that just makes sense...I never felt comfortable with my Dell in the first place.

I used PCs my entire life until about two years ago when I got an iMac and it changed my life forever. It was incredibly easy to switch to, especially since so many new Windows features were stolen from Mac. Maybe when computers first came out it was difficult to make the transition, but now, if you're used to being on the web you'll find the transition pretty simple. Good luck!

Smooth as silk! It may take some time to get used to where some buttons and menus are located but once you try a mac you'll never want to use your Windoze machine again!
