Summer Dreams

Summer is right around the corner, and if you’re a high school student about to start college in the fall, this could very well represent your last “free” summer.

But what will you do with that time? Some articles claim that summer jobs could be hard to find considering the current economic climate. You can try that route, or you could always try to do volunteer work at a local non-profit (that is, if your parents are ok with continuing to pay for your cell phone and gas for your car). You could also look for an internship, which seems to be a popular option before starting college, and you can try taking some classes to get you ready for your foray into college level work. Or, you can always just spend your days lazing about at the beach or by a pool.

What are your summer plans before starting college?
