License to Wed (2007)
Robin Williams plays Reverend Frank, who puts a couple through a grueling preparation to make sure they are right for each other. It’s a funny, over-the-top film that also serves as a cautionary tale to make sure she’s the one for you.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
Based on the real life of Nia Vardolos, who wrote and starred in this movie, she describes what happened when she fell in love with someone who isn’t Greek and had to gain the acceptance from her parents. This is a good film for you if you want to learn how to deal with potential in-laws who don't immediately welcome you to the family.

Make sure you truly love the woman you’re proposing to. When Steve Edison (Matthew McConaughey) is preparing to marry Fran Donolly (Bridgette Wilson), he realizes he is really in love with his wedding planner (Jennifer Lopez). His proposal to her is gleeful and forthright.

When Tally's career takes off and she must move to another city to be a newscaster, Warren decides to follow her. Most of us could learn something from the proposal in this movie.
