Better Late Than Never

Oh, to be young and in love! Cameron McInnes proposed to Maureen Galbraith when he was 18 and she was just 16. They began to plan for their wedding, but soon began to argue over the details as couples often do.

The teenage lovebirds split up and eventually married other people, had children and didn’t reconnect until 30 years later. Cameron was divorced; Maureen’s marriage was ending. The two didn’t waste any time getting to know one another again. Another proposal, this time on vacation in Portugal, was once again met with a joyous “yes!”

The pair is now happily wed and proves that if something is meant to be, it will be. So don’t sweat your proposal, or your wedding plans! Life has a funny way of working things out—even if it takes a little time. [Sunday Mail]
