Please don't cut videography out of your wedding budget!

brittmill

The first thing a couple does when looking at their wedding budget and looking for items to scale back on, the videographer usually gets the X. Most couples feel the photographer is always a must, but why is the videographer a last minute thought, or given the boot? Videography of your wedding is not only about the couple, it is a valuable archive, a live action time capsule! of your family, talking, laughing and dancing, celebrating a beautiful day. In 20 years, when many of these family members are gone, you will be so glad you can show your children your Aunt Mary, and how much your children may look just like her and see how much she really loved to dance!
When selecting a videographer, remember a professional is always the way to go. Your best friend with his new video camera is most likely not going to do the best job, unless he has lights, wireless mics and great editing software. But I also think it is rude to ask a guest of your wedding to come and work at your wedding, and not enjoy the day!
Professional Videographers, (and this is what you pay for) are there to anticipate the next event as the day unfolds, and capture it beautifully. The finished project should be so enjoyable to watch, that a total stranger would enjoy watching your wedding. So please, don't cut the videographer, this is the ultimate way to remember forever!
