Downloading apps for your iPhone or iPod Touch is fun and addictive. But it can be daunting and slow. Instead of trying to browse and download them from your device, just fire up iTunes on your computer and search the iTunes store. Download them to your computer first and then sync your iPod!

Yep, it syncs upstream and downstream!
Good tip. I assume if you purchase from the ipod, the app is sync'd back to the mac just like music purchases.
I hate to pay the money to do this. I guess if I purchase a new touch or Iphone the new software built in
