Question:What do you "snack" on?

I prefer to eat smaller meals throughout the day, which means, I tend to eat some snacky food. I do love fruit, pretzels, hummus and a lot of healthy stuff, but of course I do indulge my sweet tooth and salty tooth. And who can eat carrots or apples every time they need a little snack?!?

What do YOU snack on? Have you found healthy AND fulfilling choices?

Answer:

I like to make sure that I have at least 5 grams of protein in any snack that I have. I try to follow the six small meals a day rule. I find a good source of high protein can be from yogurt, peanut butter, almonds or low fat cheese. The protein helps me stay full longer.

I've been thinking and thinking about this, and I can't come up with one set answer. I guess I just love to switch things up. If I had my choice though, I'd probably eat cookies every day. I'm such a sucker for crunchy and sweet. Apples are always good for that if I'm trying to be healthy.

Answer:

I like pretzels, but what I really like is to eat pretzels with little nibbles of cheese at the same time. I also like to snack on nuts and raisins, but my downfall is cookies... I find it very hard to say no to dessert.
