Martskin

Question:Why is it so expensive being green?

I like to do what I can to be environmentally friendly but it seems like everything "green" costs so much more.

Answer:

In my humble opinion, I think the answer is two-fold. First, many of those companies are small and have not reached a point where they are selling so many of whatever it is they can take advantage of volume discounts, so they can't pass any of their savings along to you.

The other piece is that they can charge more, so they do ... the reason they can is because they have something we want.
