Gore Launches "We" Campaign

Where the heck has former Vice President Al Gore been? Though he’s been laying low since winning the Nobel Peace Prize, the world’s favorite environmentalist launched a new campaign today to get Americans to do more to go green.

The Alliance for Climate Protection is starting the “We” campaign to change the way people think about climate change and to get people and policy makers to change legislation on greenhouse gas emissions. It will consist of advertising and online partnerships to get its message across, comparing it to other historic changes such as the moon landing and overcoming segregation. Gore has already provided his share of profits from his movie "An Inconvenient Truth" and his $750,000 award from winning the Nobel to the campaign.

“It's important to change the light bulbs, but it's much more important to change the laws,” Gore says. “The path for recovery runs right through Washington D.C.” [Wecansolveit.org]
