Workin' It Out

It all happens so quickly. One day your eyes meet over the coffee maker, and the next you accidentally brush hands as she gives you a TPS report. The next thing you know, you're involved in a hot and heavy office romance.

While it may seem fun at first, the road to a successful workplace rendezvous is riddled with potholes and potential danger zones, especially when you get involved with a superior. Think about it; If one of you performs poorly in the bedroom, will it come back to haunt you in the boardroom?

Australian researchers say that it's about time to do an in-depth study on the subject of office romance gone wrong and are currently looking for people who are willing to tell their stories to use in a new study.

"It's such a messy area, I think researchers haven't wanted to go there," Ruth Byrne, the study's coordinator told The Age.

"But we do know that the effects are enormous - people end up leaving their job, even making attempts on their own lives."
