That's Eco-tainment!

If all those hours of watching "Dr. 90210" and "E! True Hollywood Story"  have left you feeling like you should repent (or have a lobotomy), a new cable network dedicated to green living might just be the fun-to-watch penance you've been looking for. The new "eco-tainment" network, Planet Green, will focus on green living all day, every day, in 50 million homes across America.

Of course, there's still the celebrity factor, because we can't get our information from regular schmoes, ya know.  A commercial promoting the new network features metal drummer Tommy Lee and rapper Ludacris battling over who's more eco.  " You know that hotel we're staying at?" Luda asks Lee. "You remember the hot tub, right? I filled it up with all women instead of water. Saved 150 gallons." Uh, yeah...that might not be the way you want to save the planet. Thankfully, there are other programming options such as an organic and local cooking show with Emeril Legasse and a reality show where "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier shows how he lives the green life.

If you have the channel, tune in and tell us what you think. Will you soon have a new no-so-guilty pleasure? [New York Times]
