“Retail therapy.” Do those words excite you or send shivers down your spine? Chances are, if you are considering a little style update or change of your look, there are some dollar signs involved. Knowing what kind of spender and shopper you are may help you along the retail road more than you think.
 
The Belfast Telegraph takes a look at women’s shopping habits from a variety of angles. Females tend to be more “inconsistent consumers” as they listen to moods and changing thoughts, and then using them to decide on purchases. Buyers are broken down into three types: the efficient buyer, the recreational buyer and the binge buyer.
 
The attributes that go along with each one are probably obvious, but think about where you would place yourself. As you ponder changing your look, what affects your consumer choices? Do you see magazine ads and run out to the mall? Do you read about the latest fashion trends and gradually decide to pursue one?
