One Baby, Two Faces

It seems the stuff of weird pregnancy dreams—giving birth to a child with two faces. For one mom in India, it’s reality—and her daughter is being embraced as the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess named Durga.

The little girl, Lali, was born with a rare condition known as craniofacial duplication. Her four eyes and two mouths are fully functional, as are her two ears and two noses. The family has so far refused any testing that would determine whether Lali has any other health complications.
