Vet Pets

When you think of ways to adopt a pet  the military doesn’t spring to mind. However, a retired Army dog could be a great addition to your family!

Once a canine is deemed “excess” by the military, he is sent to a kennel on base to patiently await adoption—or a more grim fate. The challenge is that civilians do not know they can adopt these sweet, well-trained animals across the country!

While most of the dogs are older, they have been well cared for and can be very lovable pets. There is even a web site  that will help you in your search for a military working dog to make a part of your family. [ArmyTimes]
