talk to other adoptive parents

Eva1873

a friend who adopted recently said one of the most valuable things she did was to seek out and speak to other families who had been through the adoption process. it made things less foreign and killed the "fear of the unknown."

Coming from an adoptive family I agree. My parents have had numerous couples come to them to talk about the adoption process. Things have changes quite a bit since my brother and I were adopted but there is still a support chain out there for you. Search the internet for forums. There are tons of them. Good luck!
