Dealing with not being needed
How can you win over the children who don't want you to be their parent and don't need you to be their friend?
By answering your question, I have found the answer for myself. As I sit and remove myself from my situation and think to give you advice, there is one thought that comes to me.
We have experienced this before; loving or caring about someone who doesn't love you. Mine was in high school. Although it was difficult to see them everyday at school, it eventually became less awkward. Accepting reality and moving on with life may help us to stop reaching out to them and consentrate more on ourselves and why we think we need thier love to complete our relationship with thier parent.
