Question:What companies are hiring?

I know most job news is not good right now, but there must be industries that are growing and companies that are hiring. How can I find out about that?

Answer:

My parents always said to look at industries and trades that will never go out of style, i.e. plumbing, healthcare and power/electric. They will always need people.

Answer:

From what I've read a few of the fields that will need more people over time are:

Healthcare (with better medicines, people are living longer and will need more care as they age)

Eldercare (along the same lines... boomers are entering retirement and will need more care as they age).

Environment No surprise here. The race is on to develop alternate technologies ... this is one area when new jobs will be created.
