You Are Your Own Boss

Chances are your job both helps and hinders the pursuit of your dreams. On the one hand, it may provide financial stability and security, while on the other, it sucks away time and energy. Have you considered becoming your own boss? More and more people are doing it for different reasons: sky-rocketing commuting costs, wanting to stay home with the kids or being in control of your day-to-day.

“Security” has lost some of its meaning, as workers employed by the same loyal companies for 30+ years are laid off with little to no warning. Even if your job seems secure, it may bore you to death. Becoming self-employed or an entrepreneur comes with its own roadblocks and struggles, but it’s worth considering if you are at the end of your corporate rope.
