Look Who's Retiring in the Tech World

It may come as no surprise to you that Bill Gates is RETIRING! At the end of the month—which is in a week—Bill Gates will be moving over and stepping away from his day-to-day role as chief software architect of Microsoft, the company he co-founded more than 30 years ago.

In usual corporate-world form, Gates was subjected to an exit interview, but not the sympathy session kind that HR dumps on you when you leave. No, this is an interview with PC Magazine that talks about Gates’ role within the company over the last 30 years, what his plans for the future are, and what’s in store for us. It's certainly admirable for someone to stay on with something for so long, even if they did create it.

You can read the interview here.

What do you think? Does it seem strange to you that Gates is retiring? Or do you think it’s about time?
