How do you organize media?

I have lots of tapes, videos, pictures, regular CD, Mp3 CD, Picture CD, Backup CD etc. I have 3 different computer that I work on which has also good collection of this material. I like to organize all of these in efficient way.

To do this the computer guys will do this. Put everything new computer file and load it up.
