Kid's Best Friend

Kid's Best Friend

There’s nothing more adorable than children and dogs, so when a blogger over at Babble put together a little piece giving us five (only five?) reasons kids and dogs are a good mix, we were pleased!

From dogs and children being each other’s playmates to simple family “awe” moments, the five reasons provide a little bit of logic and some hilarity. Our favorite is “Cleaning doesn't get any easier than yelling, “Annie, come!” How true! If you've got a toddler who's idea of a good time is throwing peas during lunch hour, you can bet your dog is going to run over to enjoy a free snack. Thus, saving you time with the broom! Since there's only five we won't ruin them all for you, so go check out the article and let us know what you think.

Aside from the five reasons, we’ve concocted a few of our own; dogs make fantastic companions for kids, keeping them out of trouble, providing a four legged friend, and when they get older having a pet teaches them responsibility. There's a reason dogs are called mans best friend, no? If you're on the fence about adopting a pet in addition to having a baby around (hey, at least they sleep through the night!) research how to introduce your child to a new pet.

Tell us what you think. Do pets and children mix in your family?  [Babble]

It all depends on the children.

If you have home wrecking children and a cute puppy, the puppy might end up dead. Ha, just kidding... I think.
