Chunky Kitty in Need of a (Healthy) Home

Chunky Kitty in Need of a (Healthy) Home

Looking to adopt a cat? A 44-pound white American Shorthair dubbed "Princess Chunk" was found waddling around this weekend in Voorhees, NJ. Our first thought was, "how the heck can someone loose a cat the size of a toddler?"

The largest tabby since Princess Chunk weighed in at 46 pounds, and since it's death The Guinness Book of World Records has ceased to include "fattest cat' in its series for fear people will purposely try to bulk up their pets. Princess Chunk comes close to the record and he (yup—princess is really a prince) is in need of a good home…and a little bit of exercise.

The cat appeared this morning on “Live with Regis and Kathy Lee” and will be on “Good Morning America” tomorrow. We’re hoping Princess Chunk finds a diet-friendly home, but with all these TV appearances, he could end up as the new spokeskitten for Jenny Craig.

Learn about how you should be feeding and treating your cats or other furry friends from our interview with animal behaviorist Diana L. Guerrero. [MSNBC]

A LITTLE bit of exercise?

This is a great update! Although I'm generalizing and dogs can get fat too, this update justifies why I don't want a cat. I hope Princess (?) finds a home.
