Ronnie Lichtman
An associate professor and chairperson of the SUNY Downstate Midwifery Education Program, Lichtman has taught midwifery and directed the midwifery programs at Columbia University and SUNY Stony Brook and practiced in a number of settings. Currently, Lichtman has a private midwifery practice devoted to well-woman gynecology and frequently lectures at local and national conferences. She is the primary author of the updated, expanded and completely revised original guide to pregnancy, "Dr. Guttmacher's Pregnancy, Birth and Family Planning."
