A television reporter (Jim Carrey) in Buffalo, NY experiences the worst day of his life and takes out his wrath on God. God (Morgan Freeman) appears and endows Bruce with his powers to teach him that the job of being God isn’t easy at all.

When street-smart high school student Ferris (Matthew Broderick) decides to take the day off with two friends, he’s just out to have a good time. But with a blow out of his friend’s dad’s Ferrari—as well as the dean of the school and his sister trying to catch him pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes—his adventure provides excellent comic relief.

Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), thanks to a hypnotic session, ends up in a state of complete bliss, free of all worries. His new carefree attitude makes him more attractive to his company (which is downsizing), but leaves his two friends jobless and with plans to embezzle funds from the company.

After a total disaster of a prom date, Ted (Ben Stiller) decides he still loves Mary (Cameron Diaz); so he hires a private eye (Matt Dillon) to track her down. As the private investigator falls for Mary and Ted reenters her life, the funny scenes and wacky laughs ensue.

A local station decides to hire him and his sidekick Garth (Dana Carvey) to bring the show “Wayne’s World” to network television, and Wayne finds that the show and their lives are no longer the same.
