Congratulations! You’ve gone ahead and bought a Mac. Prepare to have your world rocked.

The goal of your First 30 Days of switching from PC to Mac is to become part of the steamroller! If you are confident and calm about the change, you will become an expert user in no time.

In the next 30 days, you will . . .

  • Become comfortable with using the Mac platform in conjunction with any Windows needs you still have.
  • Learn new programs on the Mac and move to full-time use of these programs.
  • Rely on your PC less.
  • Integrate the Mac and its philosophy into your life.
  • Become proficient enough to help teach others.

Some of these concepts may feel hard to wrap your mind around. Don’t feel pressured into having to learn everything right now. Little by little, you will get to proficiency.

DID YOU KNOW? Apple has always had a history of secrecy. The company would often give code-names to projects in development. The codename for the first Macintosh computer was “Carl Sagan.” When Sagan found out, he promptly sued the company for using his name without his permission. The situation was settled shortly afterwards.
